Abraham discussed this outline for what to do when you are serious about changing the vibrations you aligning with, and creating a more harmonious energy to deliberately attract your desired manifestations. The idea is to basically "unplug" from all the negative draws on your attention and energy, and use your time and attention to magnify a focus on what is good, and right, peaceful, loving, and fun NOW. And, with a new tone to your energy, you can attract more of what you DO want:
Stop beating up on yourself (and others)
Turn off media and TV for 30 days (as well as radio, internet news, and social media)
Cancel meetings and minimize contact with other people (to the extent you can)
Withdraw from what other people call "reality" as much as possible, beam inwardly focused for 30 days
Explore your imagination, fire-up your passion, and make a study of delving into your vortex; write about any personal discoveries you find with as much feeling detail as possible
Get a notebook and make lists of positive aspects (the good qualities) about your environment, your relationships, and the people or situations around you
Tune yourself in small efforts to the vibration of who you really are; meditate on the love, beauty, kindness, magnificence, and peace that IS the core of who you really are
As inspiration occurs, follow-through with it as soon as possible
Make note of and document any evidence you can find of your desire becoming more vivid and getting closer, such as seeing other people who already have what you want, hearing about in conversations, dreams, or pieces of the bigger picture starting to manifest.
Doing these steps puts you in touch with an Inner knowing of the truth of who you really are -- the precious, beautiful, magnificent, creative, loving, spectacular, glorious being you REALLY are. That, in turn empowers the Law of Attraction to only bring you experiences and evidence that are in harmony with your new elevated energy and vibrations.

How did you do? What did you discover? by: Andrea, RLLoA moderator
Hi Charlotte,
It's been a while since you posted a comment about trying the 30-day challenge... How did you do with it? How was the experience for you? Did you discover anything new or have any insights?
I'd love to know what your experience was if you care to share, or if you would recommend that others give it a try, it would be great to know that too.
I hope you are well, and happy, and experiencing magnificent manifestations!

BOPA? by: Anonymous

BOPA = Book of Positive Aspects by: Andrea, RLLoA moderator
You can see that definition, as well as other common Law of Attraction jargon (and a glossary of terms often used in Abraham-Hicks workshops) on this page: Law of Attraction Lingo.
There is also another page devoted to shifting your thinking toward the positive aspects of a person or situation, rather than focusing on the annoying aspects: Finding Positive Aspects.
Thanks for asking! Andrea

30 days became 300 days + by: Charlotte
Hi Andrea!
I started with the 30 days, and it became so addictive that I am still doing most of it daily! I choose carefully what I take in (food, news, people,...) I focus deliberately on what makes me happy - and boy, miracles happen. I will send more people here, it is a wonderful way to ease into an Abe-life!
BIG hug

Yes! by: Sarah
I did the 30 day process this year, and from my experience, it is the best gift you could give to yourself. I recommend doing it in two parts: the first 30 days, to release resistance, negativity, and other forms of self-sabotage. And then see what happens. You will probably go through a major life change. Then do another 30 day process, this time focusing on positive momentum, generating happiness, love, creativity, and well-being.

I'm gonna do this! by: Happy Sunshine
Ok, so I just found out about this from a friend and I'm going to do it. I have already cut out all tv, radio and magazines and I'm finding that I can no longer tolerate the energy zapping friends so I'm letting them go with love and I'm looking forward to stepping deeper into the vortex as I watch my creation unfold. #feelingexcited

Another Round! by: Charlotte
I'm in for another round. This is so addictive :) Each time I step it up a little - and if I look back what I have attracted in the past years is absolutely amazing. A wonderful partner, a lovely big house in the countryside, great vacations, a wonderful little cottage in the woods, great friends, a job in a great company...
Now the next step is my own business in healing; and more time to spend with my daughter.
Sending you all good vibes and wishinh you an allowing and creative 2015!

30 days VORTEX challenge by: Anonymous
Hello Abraham!
Interesting...
It's not a rocket science, but it makes me little bit confuse.
How I can do that?
Basically, when you start to drive a car you don't learn all maneuvers at once...Or if you want to become a doctor_you learn at university.
I want at least some example(s).
In advance, I thank you for your cooperation
M.W.

You create the examples by your own experience by: Andrea, RLLoA moderator
You are the one who is creating your reality. Only you can experiment with the suggestions here (or anywhere else) and feel for yourself how you experience the results.
These are merely ideas about how to create an environment around yourself in which you are exposed to less negative energy, and thus can be empowered by more of your own, natural, positive energy, and move toward the callings of your own heart.
Love and blessings to you as you feel the way through your glorious life of creative possibilities!

Importance of Emotions by: Lisa
About 6 months into learning about LOA, it dawned on me one day that I don't feel. I experience anger, hurt and what I now term, "white noise". Not that I am a manic depressive. I function quite well. Not too particularity sad. I just can't recall feeling/ sensing happiness, joy, delight, .... So I concentrate on "pleasant" thoughts, pretty objects or beautiful sceneries. My question is: How does my lack of positive emotions effect my positive manifestations.

No reference point for Joy by: Andrea, RLLoA moderator
Wow, Lisa, GREAT question!
And, I'm totally with you on not having much (any) experience of knowing what true joy feels like. I completely recognized myself in what you wrote!
The good news is, that not having a reference point for bliss, happiness, joy is not adversely affecting your manifestations, because the Law of Attraction works on a deeper level than that, and it knows what your heart truly wants as well as what you are believing, and how you are vibrating.
So, the more you relax into the wonder and fascination of observing when good things come to you, and notice how you are always being guided toward your deepest desires (and trying to enjoy them and be present to the experience when they do happen) you ARE on the right track.
As for that reference point for joy, that has to be cultivated. For those of us who were raised in depressed, or just non-emotive families, we were never taught what experiencing joy feels like or looks like, so we don't have the neural pathways for it. But they can be rebuilt.
I have been receiving EMDR therapy for the past 4 months, and it is particularly helpful in "reprogramming" the neural pathways we formed when we experienced trauma and/or didn't form in childhood.
It starts by noticing when you feel safe, or comfortable, or at peace, or that you feel connected or pleasant. Then, while you are deliberately noticing that, intermittently squeeze your own thumbs, or tap your knees, left and right, back and forth, several times each. Do this each time you are on the higher end of the emotional ladder, and start to develop a practice of noticing, then locking it in with the intermittent stimulus (squeezing or tapping).
Thanks for writing Lisa, love and blessings to you on your journey!
Andrea

What is Step 2? by: Lukas
I doing 30days challenge now and I'm m just curious what is Step 2?
Jan 03, 2018
Great question! by: Andrea, RLLoA moderator
That's a fantastic question Lukas! When I first wrote the article, I think I intended it as a figure of speech. But an appropriate step 2 would always be to feel as good as possible, and to focus on blessing everyone around you with the same gratitude, love, and abundance you wish for yourself.
