How To Law of Attraction;
What Are The Steps?

The basic How To Law of Attraction steps are fairly simple... However, completely understanding them, remembering to implement them in real life situations, being able to call upon the most helpful tool while experiencing stressful real world circumstances, and then being able to ALLOW what you DO wish to be attracting instead, by releasing resistance and 'letting go' of "what is", takes considerably more practice!

These are the basic How To Law of Attraction steps to start immediately focusing in the right direction in any situation:

  1. Stop

  2. Breathe - take a consciously deep breath

  3. Decide what you DO WANT instead

  4. Mentally list 3-5 reasons WHY you would LIKE that new experience better

  5. Think about a new scenario for the current situation that would be REALLY NICE if it worked out that way... Take a brief moment to dream a little (or a lot) and imagine it ALL working out really well!

  6. Practice releasing resistance and letting go of attention to "what is" by doing your best to start to focus on other subjects that ARE working (even a little bit) in your life right now...

REPEAT OFTEN!
(...and as many times as you possibly can throughout the day!)

Using How To Law of Attraction tools in Real Life requires that we develop the new HABIT of continually bringing our OWN thoughts and attention back around to what we DO want and why we want it DESPITE the conditions around us!!

In addition to the basic LoA steps above, there are also a number of essential tools, skills and practices that will result in a life experience that is more in keeping with your dreams of how it should be! Life really is supposed to be fun - and it CAN be if you learn to follow your own guidance and attract what you most desire!

Below you will find the same basic How To Law of Attraction steps as were listed just above, but with the addition of many of the supportive tools, practices, and techniques that can be used to strengthen and deepen one's ability to use LoA successfully for each step. Please note that at this point, only a few of the processes have an entire page devoted to them (as indicated by a blue link), but, for those that do not (yet) have their own page, I welcome requests for more explanation and ALL How To Law of Attraction questions!


As practiced in the Teachings of Abraham, Law of Attraction has three major phases of Attraction: ASK, ALIGN, ALLOW...
But, though clever, it is deceptively over-simplified - the following steps represent an expansion and the How To Law of Attraction tools that make the "3 A's of Attraction" DO-able in Real Life!

1. Stop - Interrupt the chaos or emotion of the moment

There are MANY ways to stop, or, as taught in the Abraham Law of Attraction workshops, to "let go of the oars":

  • Tell yourself to mentally stop, then re-focus your thoughts
  • Meditate
  • Temporarily distract yourself by going to do something else
  • Try this tool for privately writing angry rants (to release negative feelings) anonymously and safely
  • Remove "your hand from the fire" (metaphorically speaking)

2. Breathe - take a consciously deep breath

A "cosmic refresh" button:

  • Meditate
  • Decide and declare that you want to feel good
  • Choose to feel good and make it your priority
  • The universe wants you to have what you want
  • Source Energy and your Inner Being ARE on your side
  • It's ok; it's going to work itself out - you are not on fire!
  • Go up the Emotional Scale

3. Decide what you DO WANT to be experiencing right now

This is the ASK part of the Attraction process:

  • Focus on what you do want
  • Make a conscious choice to figure out what the "opposite" of "what you don't want" might be
  • Think of ways to say it/think about it using positive terms
  • Learn to be sensitive to which "side of the stick" your attention is on
  • Look for positive aspects

4. Mentally list 3-5 reasons WHY you would LIKE the new experience better

Identifying WHY you want any new experience is the beginning of the ALIGN part of the Attraction process; aligning your conscious and subconscious desires with the feel good energy of believing it IS possible!:

  • Why "WHY" is so important
  • Feel good about your desires
  • Both YOU, and what you want, are worthy

5. Think about a new scenario for the current situation that would be REALLY NICE if it worked out that way... Take a brief moment to dream a little (or a lot) and imagine it ALL working out really well! 

Techniques to amplify and add detail:

SPECIAL NOTE: If these "How To Law of Attraction" practices are not working for you, or if "imagining it all working out really well" is a challenge to believe, there are some other subconscious forces at work; most likely resistance, competing intentions, or lack of belief in oneself... Practices which can help:

  • Identify where you may actually be inadvertently focusing on what you DON'T want instead of what you DO want
  • List what could possibly be BAD about having it; clarify your competing intentions by identifying some of the less-than-favorable side-effects that COULD accompany your dream
  • Self appreciation exercises
  • Find more ways to simply feel good and have more fun
  • Think of new ways to believe your dreams ARE possible

6. Practice releasing resistance and letting go of attention to "what is" by doing your best to start to focus on other subjects that ARE working (even a little bit) in your life right now... 

This step is the essence of the ALLOW part of the Attraction process:

  • Continuing up the Emotional Scale
  • Being hyper-vigilant to not pay attention to the problem and relentlessly focus only on what IS working in your life
  • Make Peace with the situation AS IT IS (make the best of it) while knowing that it will ease itself
  • Find things to appreciate that are in your life NOW

There are also other techniques which are not specific to LoA, but which are very helpful in releasing attachment to "what is" and letting go of resistance (The Work of Byron Katie, EFT, Theta Healing, just to name a few!)
